Tamoxifen

Tamoxifen is the active ingredient in the medication.It is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM).Tamoxifen is available in different forms, including tablets, capsules, and liquid solutions.

Treatment of hormonereceptor-positive breast cancer in women.

Prevention of breast cancer in women at high risk.

Treatment of certain types of uterine cancer.

Oophor 40mg Tab (Tamoxifen) blocks the action of estrogen in breast tissue. It works by binding to estrogen receptors in breast cells, preventing estrogen from stimulating the growth of cancer cells.

Store tamoxifen at room temperature, away from light and moisture.

Dosage of tamoxifen varies depending on the condition being treated.

It is typically taken once a day, with or without food.

Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

Never change your dosage or stop taking the medication without consulting your doctor.

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid excessive alcohol consumption while taking tamoxifen as it may increase the risk of side effects.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

Tamoxifen may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery if you experience these side effects.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Tamoxifen is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It may harm the developing fetus or infant.



Children

Tamoxifen is not approved for use in children.



Kidney

Tamoxifen may be adjusted in patients with kidney problems. Consult your doctor for guidance.



Liver

Tamoxifen may be adjusted in patients with liver problems. Consult your doctor for guidance.
