Hydrochlorothiazide

Is a thiazide diuretic, a type of medication that helps your body remove excess water and salt.

Olmesartan Medoxomil

Is an angiotensin ii receptor blocker (arb), a type of medication that helps to relax blood vessels and lower blood pressure.

Treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension).

This combination medication is often used when other medications alone haven't been effective.

This drug works by relaxing blood vessels, which lowers your blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide works by increasing urine production, which also helps lower blood pressure.

Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F), away from heat and moisture.

Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage for you.

It is typically taken once daily, with or without food.

Do not crush, chew, or break the tablets.

Serious side effects can occur, including: low blood pressure, kidney problems, low potassium levels (hypokalemia), allergic reactions.

Common side effects include: dizziness, headache, fatigue, cough, back pain, muscle cramps.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol may increase the risk of side effects, especially low blood pressure. Avoid or limit alcohol consumption while taking this medication.



While Driving or operating Machinery

This medication can cause dizziness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication is not recommended during pregnancy. It may harm the unborn baby. Consult your doctor about safe alternatives. This medication may pass into breast milk and may harm a breastfeeding infant. Consult your doctor about safe alternatives.



Children

This medication is not typically used in children.



Kidney

This medication may be adjusted or not recommended for individuals with kidney problems.



Liver

This medication may be adjusted or not recommended for individuals with liver problems.
