Atorvastatin

A statin medication that lowers cholesterol levels in the blood.

Olmesartan Medoxomil

An angiotensin ii receptor blocker (arb) that helps lower blood pressure.

To lower the risk of cardiovascular events (such as heart attack, stroke, or death) in patients with high cholesterol and high blood pressure.

To treat high blood pressure (hypertension).

To treat high cholesterol (hyperlipidemia).

Atorvastatin reduces cholesterol production in the liver, while olmesartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that narrows blood vessels, thus lowering blood pressure. The combined effect is to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after the expiration date.

Dosage should be determined by a physician based on individual needs and response to treatment.

The medication is usually taken once daily, preferably at the same time each day.

Alcohol Consumption

While Driving or operating Machinery

May cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult your doctor immediately if you become pregnant while taking this medication.



Children

Generally not recommended for children. Dosage and use should be determined by a physician.



Kidney

Caution is advised in patients with kidney problems. Dose adjustment may be necessary.



Liver

Caution is advised in patients with liver problems. Regular liver function tests may be recommended.
