An angiotensin ii receptor blocker (arb) medication that works by blocking the effects of angiotensin ii, a hormone that causes blood vessels to constrict. this helps to lower blood pressure.

Olkem Beta 50mg Tab (Metoprolol + Olmesartan Medoxomil) works by reducing the workload of the heart and improving blood flow. Metoprolol slows the heart rate and lowers blood pressure by blocking the effects of adrenaline on the heart and blood vessels. Olmesartan medoxomil lowers blood pressure by blocking the effects of angiotensin II, a hormone that causes blood vessels to constrict. By working together, these two medications help to lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other cardiovascular problems.

Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C (59°F and 86°F), away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

The dosage of Metoprolol + Olmesartan Medoxomil is determined by your doctor and depends on your individual needs and medical history.

It is usually taken once daily, with or without food.

Do not crush, chew, or break the tablets.

Take the medication exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

Do not stop taking this medication without talking to your doctor.

Serious side effects can include angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat), low blood pressure, slow heart rate, and kidney problems.

Common side effects include dizziness, lightheadedness, fatigue, headache, and cough.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol may increase the risk of side effects, especially dizziness and lightheadedness. Limit or avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication.



While Driving or operating Machinery

This medication may cause dizziness or lightheadedness, which can impair your ability to drive or operate machinery. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor before taking this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.



Children

This medication is not approved for use in children.



Kidney

If you have kidney problems, your doctor may need to adjust your dose.



Liver

If you have liver problems, your doctor may need to adjust your dose.
