Amlodipine: This is a calcium channel blocker. It works by relaxing blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily, which also lowers blood pressure.

Treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults. This combination medication is usually prescribed when your blood pressure is not sufficiently controlled with one medication alone.

Common side effects include: headache, dizziness, swelling in the ankles or feet, fatigue, cough.

Serious side effects are rare but may include: angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat), low blood pressure, kidney problems, liver problems.

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication, as it can increase the risk of side effects.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

This medication may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication is not recommended for use during pregnancy. It is also not known if this medication passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before taking this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.



Children

This medication is not approved for use in children.



Kidney

Tell your doctor if you have kidney problems. This medication may need to be adjusted.



Liver
