Oesorite 40 Injection (Esomeprazole) is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. It specifically inhibits the enzyme H+/K+-ATPase, the final step in gastric acid secretion.
Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
Dosage varies depending on the condition being treated and the patient's individual needs. Always follow your doctor's instructions.
Typically taken once daily, usually in the morning, before food.
Do not crush, chew, or break delayed-release capsules. Swallow whole with a glass of water.
Treatment courses may last several weeks or even months depending on the condition.
Rare but serious side effects: kidney problems, low magnesium levels, C. difficile-associated diarrhea, bone fractures (with long-term use)
