Procyclidine

Is the active ingredient in this medication. it belongs to a group of drugs called anticholinergics.

Procyclidine is used to treat the symptoms of Parkinson's disease, such as tremors, rigidity, and slow movements.

It may also be used to treat druginduced Parkinsonism (a condition that can occur as a side effect of certain medications).

Ocyl 2.5mg Tab (Procyclidine) works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger in the brain called acetylcholine. This helps to restore the balance of chemicals in the brain that are affected by Parkinson's disease.

Store Procyclidine at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

The dosage of Procyclidine will be determined by your doctor based on your individual needs.

It is typically taken by mouth, usually 2-3 times a day.

Follow your doctor's instructions carefully and do not take more or less than prescribed.

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid alcohol while taking Procyclidine, as it can worsen side effects.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

Procyclidine can cause drowsiness and blurred vision. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

It is important to talk to your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Procyclidine should only be used during pregnancy if the potential benefits outweigh the risks.



Children

Procyclidine is not recommended for children unless specifically prescribed by a doctor.



Kidney

Procyclidine may need to be adjusted in patients with kidney problems.



Liver

Procyclidine may need to be adjusted in patients with liver problems.
