About Ocudor T Drops 5ml
Ocudor T Drops 5ml (Dorzolamide Hydrochloride + Timolol Maleate) are eye drops used to treat open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. They work by reducing the production of fluid in the eye, which lowers the pressure inside the eye and helps protect the optic nerve from damage. The medication is typically used once or twice daily. Common side effects include burning or stinging in the eye, redness, blurred vision, and dry eyes. More serious side effects are rare but can include breathing problems, heart problems, or skin rash. Consult your doctor immediately if you experience any serious side effects. It's important to follow your doctor's instructions carefully and keep the medication in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medication and avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how the medication affects you. This medication should only be used during pregnancy if the potential benefits outweigh the potential risks. It's not known whether this medication passes into breast milk. Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of using this medication while breastfeeding. The safety and effectiveness of this medication in children have not been established.
Ingredients of Ocudor T Drops 5ml

    Dorzolamide Hydrochloride

This is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor that works by reducing the production of fluid in the eye.

    Timolol Maleate

This is a beta-blocker that lowers the pressure within the eye by decreasing the production of fluid.

Direction for Use of Ocudor T Drops 5ml

Treatment of openangle glaucoma (a condition that causes damage to the optic nerve due to high pressure inside the eye).

Treatment of ocular hypertension (high pressure inside the eye without damage to the optic nerve).

How Ocudor T Drops 5ml Works

Ocudor T Drops 5ml (Dorzolamide Hydrochloride + Timolol Maleate) work together to reduce the pressure inside the eye by decreasing the production of fluid. Dorzolamide blocks the action of an enzyme called carbonic anhydrase, which is involved in fluid production. Timolol blocks the action of certain receptors in the eye that are also involved in fluid production. By working together, these two medications help to lower eye pressure and protect the optic nerve from damage.
