Sibutramine

Sibutramine is a prescription medication used for weight loss in adults who are obese (body mass index [BMI] of 30 or higher) or overweight (BMI of 27 or higher) with at least one weightrelated medical condition, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or type 2 diabetes.

Obefit 10mg Tab (Sibutramine) works by increasing the levels of serotonin and norepinephrine in the brain. These neurotransmitters are involved in regulating appetite and satiety (feeling full). By increasing these levels, sibutramine helps suppress appetite and increase feelings of fullness, leading to weight loss.

Store sibutramine at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

The usual starting dose of sibutramine is 10 mg once a day. Your doctor may adjust your dose based on your response to the medication.

Take sibutramine with or without food.

Do not stop taking sibutramine without talking to your doctor, even if you feel better.

Common side effects of sibutramine include dry mouth, constipation, insomnia, headache, and dizziness.

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid drinking alcohol while taking sibutramine, as it can increase the risk of side effects.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Sibutramine can cause dizziness and drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how sibutramine affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Sibutramine is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.



Children

Sibutramine is not approved for use in children.



Kidney

People with kidney disease may need a lower dose of sibutramine.



Liver

Sibutramine should be used with caution in people with liver disease.
