Ezetimibe

A cholesterol absorption inhibitor that reduces the amount of cholesterol your body absorbs from your diet.

Rosuvastatin

A statin medication that lowers cholesterol levels in your blood by blocking an enzyme your body needs to produce cholesterol.

Primary hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol) in adults, including familial hypercholesterolemia.

Mixed dyslipidemia (abnormal levels of lipids in the blood) in adults.

To reduce the risk of cardiovascular events (such as heart attack and stroke) in adults with high cholesterol and other risk factors.

Ezetimibe works in the small intestine to block the absorption of cholesterol from the food you eat. Rosuvastatin works in the liver to reduce the production of cholesterol. By acting on different points in the cholesterol pathway, the combination therapy is more effective at lowering cholesterol than either drug alone.

Store at room temperature between 20°C and 25°C (68°F and 77°F). Protect from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage should be determined by your doctor and will depend on your individual needs and response to treatment.

It is typically taken orally, once daily, with or without food.

Do not crush, chew or break the tablets; swallow them whole.

Alcohol Consumption

Excessive alcohol consumption can increase the risk of liver damage, and should be discussed with your doctor.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Drowsiness or dizziness can occur; if affected, avoid driving or operating machinery.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Discuss contraceptive options with your doctor.



Children

Safety and efficacy have not been established in children.



Kidney

May need dose adjustment in patients with kidney problems. Your doctor will monitor your kidney function.



Liver

May need dose adjustment or monitoring in patients with liver problems. Your doctor will monitor your liver function.
