Metformin

Pioglitazone

A thiazolidinedione (tzd) that improves insulin sensitivity by increasing glucose uptake in muscle and fat tissues.

Teneligliptin

A dpp-4 inhibitor that enhances incretin hormone activity, leading to increased insulin secretion and decreased glucagon secretion.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus when metformin and pioglitazone alone are insufficient to control blood sugar levels.

Treatment of inadequately controlled type 2 diabetes in adults

This triple combination drug works synergistically. Metformin improves insulin sensitivity and reduces hepatic glucose production. Pioglitazone enhances insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues. Teneligliptin increases incretin levels, stimulating insulin release and suppressing glucagon secretion. The combined effect leads to improved glycemic control.

Children

Not indicated for use in children.



Kidney

Requires dose adjustment or contraindicated in patients with severe kidney disease.
