Nomdol 5mg Tablet (Haloperidol) is an antipsychotic medication that works by blocking the action of dopamine, a chemical messenger in the brain. By reducing dopamine activity, haloperidol helps to control the symptoms of psychosis, such as hallucinations, delusions, and disorganized thinking.

Store haloperidol at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

The dosage of haloperidol varies depending on the condition being treated and the individual patient's needs.

It is usually taken by mouth, but it can also be given by injection.

Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage and administration schedule for you.

Extrapyramidal symptoms (EPS), such as muscle stiffness, tremors, and involuntary movements

Neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS), a rare but serious condition that can be fatal

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid alcohol consumption while taking haloperidol, as it can increase the risk of side effects.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

Haloperidol can cause drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Haloperidol should only be used during pregnancy if the potential benefits outweigh the risks to the fetus. It is not known if haloperidol passes into breast milk. Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of using haloperidol while breastfeeding.



Children

Haloperidol is not typically recommended for use in children, especially those under 12 years of age, due to the risk of EPS.



Kidney

Haloperidol can be harmful to people with kidney problems. Your doctor may adjust your dose if you have kidney problems.

Haloperidol can be harmful to people with liver problems. Your doctor may adjust your dose if you have liver problems.
