Boric acid 1.25% W/V: An antiseptic agent that helps kill bacteria and fungi.
Chlorpheniramine maleate 1% W/V: An antihistamine that reduces allergic reactions by blocking the action of histamine.
Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC): A thickener and film-forming agent that provides viscosity and helps the medication adhere to the eye.
Treatment of bacterial and fungal conjunctivitis (pink eye).
Relief of symptoms associated with allergic conjunctivitis, such as itching, redness, and swelling.
This eye drop combines the antibacterial and antifungal properties of boric acid with the antihistamine action of chlorpheniramine maleate to effectively target various causes of conjunctivitis. The HPMC helps prolong the contact of the active ingredients with the eye, enhancing their therapeutic effect.
Store the eye drops in a cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight. Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use. Discard the eye drops after the expiry date printed on the bottle.
Instill 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) 3-4 times daily.
Wash your hands thoroughly before and after using the eye drops.
Tilt your head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid to form a pouch.
Instill the drops into the pouch, aiming towards the inner corner of the eye.
Close your eye for a few seconds and gently press on the inner corner of the eye with a clean tissue to prevent the medication from draining out.
Do not touch the tip of the dropper to any surface to avoid contamination.
Temporary blurred vision.
Dryness of the eye.
Eye irritation.
Headache.
It's advisable to avoid alcohol while using this medication, as it can worsen potential side effects.
This medication may cause blurred vision. Avoid driving or operating machinery until the vision clears.
