Betamethasone

A potent corticosteroid that reduces inflammation.

Tobramycin

An antibiotic that kills bacteria.

Treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye) when a corticosteroid is indicated.

Treatment of inflammatory conditions of the eyelids and conjunctiva.

Treatment of allergic conjunctivitis.

Betamethasone reduces inflammation by suppressing the release of inflammatory mediators. Tobramycin works by inhibiting protein synthesis in susceptible bacteria, leading to their death.

Store at room temperature, away from heat and light. Do not freeze. Discard any unused portion after the expiration date.

Instill one or two drops in the affected eye(s) every 4 to 6 hours, as directed by your doctor.

Do not touch the tip of the dropper to the eye or any surface. This can contaminate the medication.

Eye irritation, burning, or stinging.

Blurred vision.

Alcohol Consumption

It is safe to consume alcohol while using betamethasone + tobramycin eye drops, but it may increase the risk of side effects.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

This medication may cause blurred vision. Do not drive or operate machinery until your vision is clear.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Talk to your doctor about the potential risks and benefits.



Children

This medication is generally safe for use in children, but it is important to use it only as directed by a doctor.



Kidney

This medication is primarily used for eye conditions and is not known to have significant effects on the kidneys.
