Codeine phosphate binds to opioid receptors in the central nervous system, reducing pain perception. Paracetamol reduces fever and pain through a less understood mechanism, possibly involving inhibition of cyclooxygenase enzymes in the central nervous system.
Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after the expiry date.

Use in children should be strictly as per doctor's prescription, considering the weight and age of the child. Overdose can be very serious.
