Cefpodoxime

Cefpodoxime is the active ingredient in this medication.It belongs to a class of antibiotics called cephalosporins.

Cefpodoxime is used to treat various bacterial infections, including:

Infections of the respiratory tract (e.g., pneumonia, bronchitis)

Infections of the skin and soft tissues

Infections of the ears, nose, and throat (e.g., otitis media, sinusitis)

Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

Gonorrhea

Monocef O 400 Sr Tab (Cefpodoxime) works by killing bacteria that cause infections. It does this by interfering with the formation of the bacteria's cell walls, which are essential for their survival.

Store cefpodoxime at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

The dosage and frequency of cefpodoxime will vary depending on the type of infection being treated, your age, and your overall health.

Cefpodoxime is usually taken by mouth with a full glass of water.

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women
