Molnupiravir

Treatment of mild to moderate COVID19 in adults who are at high risk for developing severe illness.

It is authorized for use in patients who are at least 18 years old and have a positive SARSCoV-2 test.

Molnulup 200 Capsule (Molnupiravir) is an antiviral medication that works by interfering with the replication of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. It incorporates itself into the virus's genetic material (RNA) during replication, leading to errors and preventing the virus from producing more copies of itself.

Store Molnupiravir at room temperature, away from light and moisture.

The recommended dose of Molnupiravir is 800 mg (four 200 mg capsules) taken orally twice daily for five days.

The medication should be taken with food to reduce the risk of gastrointestinal side effects.

It is important to complete the full course of treatment even if you start feeling better.

Alcohol Consumption

It is recommended to avoid alcohol consumption while taking Molnupiravir.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Molnupiravir can cause dizziness and fatigue, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Molnupiravir is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It can potentially harm the fetus or infant.



Children

Molnupiravir is not authorized for use in children.



Kidney

Patients with severe kidney problems may need to have their dosage adjusted.



Liver

Patients with severe liver problems should use Molnupiravir with caution.
