Midodrine

Midodrine Hydrochloride Tablets 10mg (Midodrine) is a prodrug that is converted to its active form, desglymidodrine, which acts as an alpha-adrenergic agonist. This causes vasoconstriction (narrowing of blood vessels), primarily in the lower extremities, thereby increasing blood pressure upon standing.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication according to your pharmacist's instructions.

Generally, it is administered orally, usually starting with a low dose and gradually increasing as tolerated.

The medication should be taken in divided doses throughout the day, with the last dose typically being taken no later than 4 PM to avoid sleep disturbances.
