Midazolam

Midazolam is the active ingredient in this medication.It belongs to a class of drugs known as benzodiazepines.

Sedation for medical procedures (e.g., endoscopy, dental procedures)

Treatment of anxiety and insomnia (shortterm use)

Premedication for anesthesia (before surgery)

Seizure control in status epilepticus (severe, prolonged seizures)

Intubation and ventilation during medical emergencies

Mezolam Inj 1ml (Midazolam) works by enhancing the effects of a neurotransmitter called GABA in the brain. This leads to a calming effect, reducing anxiety, and promoting sleep.

Store midazolam at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

The dosage of midazolam will be determined by your doctor based on your medical condition, age, and weight.

It can be administered intravenously, intramuscularly, or orally.

Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

Do not stop taking midazolam abruptly without consulting your doctor.

Drowsiness

Weakness

Headache

Nausea

Vomiting

Respiratory depression (slow breathing)

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid alcohol while taking midazolam as it can increase the risk of drowsiness and other side effects.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how midazolam affects you. It can impair your alertness and coordination.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Consult your doctor before using midazolam if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. It may be harmful to the developing fetus or infant.



Children

Midazolam should be used with caution in children, as they may be more sensitive to its effects.



Kidney

If you have kidney problems, your doctor may need to adjust your dose.



Liver

Midazolam is metabolized by the liver. If you have liver problems, your doctor may need to adjust your dose.
