S-Metoprolol

A beta-blocker that slows down the heart rate and reduces blood pressure by blocking the effects of adrenaline and noradrenaline on the heart.

Telmisartan

An angiotensin ii receptor blocker (arb) that lowers blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels and increasing the amount of urine produced.

High blood pressure (hypertension)

To reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, or other cardiovascular events in patients with high risk factors.

Metpure Tel 40mg Tab (S-Metoprolol + Telmisartan) work together to lower blood pressure. S-Metoprolol reduces the heart rate and force of contractions, while telmisartan relaxes blood vessels. This combined effect results in lower blood pressure.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

The dosage of S-Metoprolol and telmisartan is determined by your doctor and depends on your individual needs and medical history.

This medication is usually taken once a day with or without food.

It is important to take this medication regularly as prescribed, even if you feel well.

Serious side effects are rare but can include: slow heart rate, low blood pressure, shortness of breath, swelling in the legs or ankles, and allergic reactions.

Common side effects include dizziness, fatigue, headache, and dry mouth.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol can increase the risk of side effects, especially low blood pressure.



While Driving or operating Machinery

May cause dizziness or lightheadedness, so avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Not recommended during pregnancy, as it can harm the fetus. Not recommended during breastfeeding, as it can pass into breast milk.



Children

Not recommended for children.



Kidney

May need to be adjusted or monitored closely in people with kidney problems.



Liver

May need to be adjusted or monitored closely in people with liver problems.
