Metolazone

Metolazone is a thiazide-like diuretic, meaning it helps your body get rid of excess water and salt.It's available in tablet form, typically containing 2.5mg, 5mg, or 10mg of metolazone.

Metolazone is primarily used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).

It can also be used to reduce fluid buildup in the body (edema) associated with conditions like congestive heart failure.

In some cases, it may be used in conjunction with other medications to treat fluid retention in conditions like liver disease or kidney disease.

Metoz 2.5mg Tab (Metolazone) works by blocking the reabsorption of sodium and chloride in the kidneys. This leads to increased urine production and helps to lower blood pressure by reducing the amount of fluid in the body.

Store metolazone tablets at room temperature, between 15-30°C (59-86°F).

Alcohol Consumption

While Driving or Operating Machinery

Metolazone can cause dizziness and drowsiness, which may impair your ability to drive or operate machinery. Avoid these activities until you know how metolazone affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Metolazone can pass into breast milk and may harm a nursing baby. It's important to discuss the risks and benefits of taking metolazone with your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
