Glimepiride

Metformin

Often used in patients who require both insulin stimulation and improved insulin sensitivity.

Glimepiride enhances insulin secretion from the pancreas, while metformin reduces hepatic glucose production, improves insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues, and may slightly decrease intestinal glucose absorption. The combination provides a synergistic effect in blood glucose control.

Store at room temperature (20-25°C), away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol can increase the risk of hypoglycemia and lactic acidosis. Limit alcohol intake.



Driving or Operating Machinery

Hypoglycemia can impair judgment and coordination. Avoid driving or operating machinery if you experience hypoglycemic symptoms.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult your doctor for alternative diabetes management.



Children

Not typically used in children.



Kidney

Metformin is contraindicated in patients with severe kidney disease. Dosage adjustments may be necessary for those with mild to moderate kidney impairment.



Liver
