Meropenem

Is a carbapenem antibiotic. specific formulations may contain other inactive ingredients like sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, and water for injection.

Treatment of serious bacterial infections caused by susceptible microorganisms, including pneumonia, intraabdominal infections, urinary tract infections, gynecological infections, and sepsis.

Treatment of bacterial meningitis (infection of the brain and spinal cord).

Meropam 250mg Injection (Meropenem) inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), leading to bacterial cell lysis and death. It has a broad spectrum of activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

Store Meropenem at controlled room temperature (20°C to 25°C). Protect from light and moisture. Discard any unused portion after the expiry date.

Dosage and frequency of administration depend on the severity and type of infection, patient's weight and renal function. Always follow your doctor's instructions.

Meropenem is typically administered intravenously or intramuscularly.

Intravenous administration is usually given as a short infusion.
