Mefloquine Hydrochloride Tablets Ip 250mg (Mefloquine) is an antimalarial drug that works by preventing the parasite Plasmodium falciparum from multiplying within red blood cells. It inhibits the parasite's growth by interfering with its DNA replication and protein synthesis.

Store mefloquine tablets at room temperature, away from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.

The dosage of mefloquine varies depending on the individual's age, weight, and the reason for taking the medication. It is crucial to follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

Mefloquine tablets are typically taken once a week, usually on the same day each week.

For malaria prevention, the medication is usually started 1-2 weeks before travelling to a malaria-prone area and continued for 4 weeks after leaving the area.

For treatment of malaria, mefloquine is typically taken for 3 days.
