Medyplex 10mg Tablet (Medroxyprogesterone Acetate) works by mimicking the effects of progesterone, a natural hormone produced by the ovaries. It inhibits the growth of the lining of the uterus (endometrium) and prevents ovulation.

Store medroxyprogesterone acetate at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

The dosage of medroxyprogesterone acetate varies depending on the condition being treated and the individual patient.

It is typically taken by mouth, but it is also available in injectable form.

Breast tenderness.

Weight gain.

Mood changes.

Headache.

Nausea.

Vomiting.

Bloating.

Spotting or irregular bleeding.

Increased risk of blood clots.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol consumption may increase the risk of some side effects.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Medroxyprogesterone acetate is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It can harm an unborn baby.



Children

Medroxyprogesterone acetate is not typically used in children.



Kidney

Caution is advised in patients with kidney disease.
