Tropicamide

Is a type of medication known as an anticholinergic agent, specifically a muscarinic antagonist.

It is commonly used for:

Tropicamide is primarily used to dilate the pupils of the eyes (mydriasis).

Medolution Tropicamide Eye Drop (Tropicamide) works by blocking the action of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter, at the muscarinic receptors in the eye. This blockage prevents the iris muscle from constricting, leading to pupil dilation.

Tropicamide eye drops should be stored at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat.

The dosage and frequency of administration of tropicamide eye drops will vary depending on the reason for use and the patient's individual needs.

Typically, tropicamide eye drops are instilled into the affected eye(s) one to three times a day.
