Both Maitriclox Dry Syrup (Ampicillin + Cloxacillin) are beta-lactam antibiotics. They inhibit bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), preventing the formation of peptidoglycan, a crucial component of the bacterial cell wall. This leads to bacterial cell lysis and death. Cloxacillin's resistance to beta-lactamase makes it effective against bacteria that would otherwise inactivate ampicillin.

Store at room temperature (below 25°C), away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after the expiry date.
