Mahagaba 75mg Cap (Pregabalin) binds to the α2-δ (alpha-2-delta) subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels in the central nervous system. This binding reduces the release of excitatory neurotransmitters like glutamate and substance P, leading to a decrease in pain signals and nerve excitability. Its mechanism in epilepsy is less fully understood but relates to its effects on neurotransmitter release.
