Ofloxacin

Is a type of antibiotic called a fluoroquinolone.

Cefixime + Ofloxacin is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections, including:

Infections of the respiratory tract (e.g., pneumonia, bronchitis)

Infections of the skin and soft tissues

Infections of the urinary tract

Infections of the ears, nose, and throat

Gonorrhea (a sexually transmitted infection)

Mahacef Plus 100 Tab (Cefixime + Ofloxacin) work by killing bacteria that cause infections. Cefixime inhibits the synthesis of bacterial cell walls, while Ofloxacin inhibits the synthesis of bacterial DNA.

Store Cefixime + Ofloxacin at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight.

The dosage of Cefixime + Ofloxacin will vary depending on the type and severity of your infection.

It is important to follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

This medication is usually taken twice a day with a full glass of water.

Do not crush, break, or chew the tablet.

Common side effects include:

Nausea

Vomiting

Diarrhea

Stomach pain

Headache

Dizziness

Rash

Vaginal yeast infection

Allergic reaction (e.g. hives, swelling, difficulty breathing)

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid alcohol while taking Cefixime + Ofloxacin, as it can increase the risk of side effects.



While Driving or operating Machinery

This medication may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Talk to your doctor before taking this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is not recommended for use during pregnancy.



Children

This medication is not recommended for children.



Kidney
