Levodopa

Madopar Tab (Benserazide + Levodopa) work together to increase the levels of dopamine in the brain. Benserazide blocks the enzyme that breaks down levodopa, allowing more levodopa to reach the brain and be converted into dopamine. This helps improve movement control and reduce symptoms of Parkinson's disease.

Store at room temperature, away from heat and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage is determined by your doctor and is based on your individual needs and medical history.

The medication is typically taken by mouth several times a day.

Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

Do not stop taking the medication without consulting your doctor.

Nausea and vomiting

Drowsiness

Low blood pressure

Muscle cramps

Involuntary movements (dyskinesia)

Psychiatric changes (hallucinations, confusion)

Darkening of urine or sweat

Skin rash

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol may interact with this medication and increase the risk of side effects. Limit alcohol intake or avoid alcohol altogether.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

This medication can cause dizziness, drowsiness, and other side effects that may affect your ability to drive or operate machinery safely. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication may harm a developing fetus. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. It is not known if this medication passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor if you are breastfeeding.



Children

This medication is not recommended for children.



Kidney

Kidney problems may affect how this medication is processed in the body. Your doctor may need to adjust your dosage or monitor you closely.



Liver

Liver problems may affect how this medication is processed in the body. Your doctor may need to adjust your dosage or monitor you closely.
