An angiotensin ii receptor blocker (arb) that helps relax blood vessels and lower blood pressure.
Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)
Reduction of cardiovascular risk in patients with hypertension and additional risk factors like coronary artery disease
Metoprolol reduces heart rate and contractility, lowering cardiac output and blood pressure. Telmisartan blocks the effects of angiotensin II, a hormone that causes blood vessels to constrict, thus lowering blood pressure and improving blood flow.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after the expiry date.
Dosage should be determined by a physician based on individual patient needs and response.
Typically taken once daily, usually with or without food.
Do not abruptly stop taking this medication; consult your doctor for guidance on tapering off.

Alcohol may intensify the hypotensive effect of the medication. Moderate or avoid alcohol consumption.
May cause dizziness or lightheadedness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.
Not recommended during pregnancy. Consult your doctor immediately if pregnancy occurs while taking this medication. Use during breastfeeding is not recommended.
