Macpril 5 Tab (Ramipril) inhibits the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), which reduces the production of angiotensin II. Angiotensin II is a potent vasoconstrictor (narrows blood vessels), and by reducing its levels, ramipril helps to lower blood pressure, improve blood flow, and reduce the workload on the heart.
