Clobetasone Butyrate

This medication works by combining the anti-inflammatory effects of clobetasone butyrate, the antibacterial action of gentamicin, and the protective barrier formed by zinc oxide. Clobetasone butyrate suppresses the release of inflammatory chemicals, gentamicin kills bacteria, and zinc oxide helps to soothe and protect the skin.

Store the medication at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets. Do not use the medication after the expiration date printed on the label.

Apply a thin layer of the cream or ointment to the affected area as directed by your doctor.

Use only the amount prescribed. Do not use more or less than directed.

Apply the medication gently to the skin and rub it in until it is fully absorbed.

Do not cover the treated area with a bandage unless your doctor tells you to.

Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the medication unless the hands are the treated area.

Do not apply the medication to the eyes, nose, or mouth, or on broken or raw skin.

Skin thinning, stretch marks, or acne.

Skin discoloration (darkening or lightening).

Dryness or cracking of the skin.

Sensitivity to sunlight.

Rarely, allergic reactions such as rash, hives, itching, or swelling.

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid excessive alcohol consumption as it can interfere with the medication's effectiveness and increase the risk of side effects.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

This medication does not usually affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. However, if you experience side effects such as dizziness or blurred vision, avoid driving or operating machinery.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Consult your doctor before using this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Clobetasone butyrate can pass into breast milk, and its long-term effects on infants are unknown. It is generally not recommended for use in pregnant women, especially during the first trimester.



Children

Use with caution in children, especially infants and young children. The medication should not be used on large areas of the body or for extended periods. The potential for side effects is higher in children.



Kidney

This medication is generally safe for people with kidney problems. However, consult your doctor if you have kidney disease, as they may need to adjust your dose.



Liver

Consult your doctor if you have liver problems before using this medication. It is generally not recommended for people with severe liver disease.
