Voglibose

A type of alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that slows down the breakdown of carbohydrates in the gut, reducing the amount of glucose that enters the bloodstream.

Metformin

A biguanide medication that improves insulin sensitivity and decreases glucose production by the liver.

Gliclazide

A sulfonylurea medication that stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (noninsulin-dependent diabetes) to control blood sugar levels.

This combination medication works by controlling blood sugar levels in three ways: slowing down the breakdown of carbohydrates, increasing insulin sensitivity, and stimulating insulin release.

Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage is individualized based on your blood sugar levels and response to treatment. Consult your doctor for the correct dosage.

Typically taken with meals, usually 1-3 times a day.

Liver problems: Rarely, liver problems can occur, particularly with metformin.

Vitamin B12 deficiency: Metformin can interfere with the absorption of vitamin B12.

Lactic acidosis: A rare but serious side effect, especially in people with kidney problems or alcohol abuse.

Gastrointestinal problems: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain

Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar): Dizziness, weakness, sweating, confusion, headache

Weight gain

Skin reactions: Rash, itching, hives

Alcohol Consumption

Excessive alcohol consumption can increase the risk of lactic acidosis. Limit alcohol intake while taking this medication.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Hypoglycemia can cause dizziness and impaired concentration. Avoid driving or operating machinery if you experience low blood sugar.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Discuss with your doctor before taking this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.



Children

This medication is not recommended for children.



Kidney
