Lorzep 1 Tab (Lorazepam) belongs to a class of medications called benzodiazepines. It works by enhancing the effects of a neurotransmitter called GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) in the brain. GABA has calming and relaxing effects, which helps to reduce anxiety, improve sleep, and control seizures.

Store Lorazepam at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

The dosage of Lorazepam varies depending on the individual and the condition being treated.

Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage and frequency of administration.

Lorazepam is usually taken by mouth, with or without food.

Do not stop taking Lorazepam abruptly without consulting your doctor, as this may cause withdrawal symptoms.

While Driving or Operating Machinery

Lorazepam can impair your ability to drive or operate machinery. Avoid these activities until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Lorazepam is not recommended for pregnant women, as it can harm the developing fetus. It can also pass into breast milk and may affect the nursing infant. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.



Children

Lorazepam is not generally recommended for children unless prescribed by a doctor. The use of benzodiazepines in children is associated with certain risks.



Kidney

Lorazepam may need to be adjusted for patients with kidney problems. Consult your doctor.
