Levosulpiride

A selective dopamine d2 receptor antagonist.

Rabeprazole

A proton pump inhibitor (ppi).

Treatment of gastrointestinal disorders associated with stress, anxiety, or depression, where both antiemetic and antiulcer effects are needed.

Relief of symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and epigastric pain associated with functional dyspepsia and peptic ulcers.

Levosulpiride blocks dopamine D2 receptors in the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ) of the brain, reducing nausea and vomiting. Rabeprazole reduces gastric acid secretion by inhibiting the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme system in the parietal cells of the stomach, promoting ulcer healing and relieving pain.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after the expiry date.

Dosage should always be determined by a physician and individualized based on patient needs and response.

The usual dosage is typically one tablet once or twice daily, but this can vary significantly.

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the tablet.

Less common but potentially serious side effects include galactorrhea, hyperprolactinemia, extrapyramidal symptoms, and allergic reactions.

Common side effects include headache, drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, diarrhea, and abdominal pain.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol may interact with this medication. Consult your doctor about alcohol consumption while taking this medication.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Levosulpiride can cause drowsiness or dizziness; avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Consult a doctor before using this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Use should be avoided unless clearly needed.



Children

Not typically recommended for children unless specifically prescribed by a physician.



Kidney

Patients with severe kidney impairment may require dosage adjustments.



Liver

Patients with severe liver impairment may require dosage adjustments.
