Levetiracetam

Levetiracetam is the active ingredient in medications like Keppra, Levetiracetam, and others.It is available in different forms, including tablets, capsules, oral solution, and injection.

Levetiracetam is primarily prescribed for treating partialonset seizures in adults and children aged 4 years and older.

It can also be used to treat myoclonic seizures (sudden, brief muscle jerks) in adults and children aged 12 years and older.

In some cases, it might be used as adjunctive therapy for generalized tonicclonic seizures (grand mal seizures) in adults and children aged 6 years and older.

Levacetam 750 Tab (Levetiracetam) works by modulating the release of certain neurotransmitters in the brain, specifically by binding to synaptic vesicle protein 2A (SV2A). This helps to reduce abnormal electrical activity in the brain that causes seizures.

Store levetiracetam at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep it in the original container and out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after the expiration date.
