Enalapril

Enalapril is the active ingredient in this medication.It is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor.

High blood pressure (hypertension)

Heart failure

After a heart attack (myocardial infarction)

Kidney problems caused by diabetes (diabetic nephropathy)

Lepril 10mg Tab (Enalapril) works by blocking the action of an enzyme called angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). ACE is involved in the production of a substance that narrows blood vessels. By blocking ACE, enalapril helps relax blood vessels, lowering blood pressure and making it easier for the heart to pump blood.

Store enalapril at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep it in its original container.

The dosage of enalapril will be determined by your doctor based on your individual needs and medical condition.

It is usually taken once or twice daily, with or without food.

Do not change your dosage or stop taking enalapril without consulting your doctor.

Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

Cough

Dizziness

Headache

Fatigue

Low blood pressure

Kidney problems

Allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling)

Alcohol Consumption

Drinking alcohol while taking enalapril can increase the risk of low blood pressure and dizziness.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

Enalapril can cause dizziness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Enalapril can harm an unborn baby. Do not take enalapril if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. It is also not recommended for breastfeeding women.



Children

Enalapril is not recommended for children unless specifically prescribed by a doctor.



Kidney

If you have kidney problems, your doctor may need to adjust your enalapril dose.



Liver

Enalapril is not recommended for people with severe liver problems.
