Chlorpheniramine Maleate

Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide

An antitussive (cough suppressant) that works in the brain to reduce the urge to cough.

This medication works by reducing the symptoms of allergies and the common cold. Phenylephrine decongests the nasal passages by narrowing blood vessels. Chlorpheniramine blocks the effects of histamine, which causes allergic symptoms. Dextromethorphan suppresses coughing by affecting the cough center in the brain.

Store at room temperature between 15-30 degrees Celsius (59-86 degrees Fahrenheit), away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Do not take more than the recommended dose.

Take this medicine with a full glass of water.

Do not crush or chew the tablets or capsules.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose. Do not double the dose.

Do not stop taking this medication without talking to your doctor.

This medication can cause drowsiness and dizziness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medicine affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Talk to your doctor before taking this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. This medication may pass into breast milk and may harm a breastfeeding baby.



Children

Do not give this medication to children under the age of 6 years old unless directed by a doctor.



Kidney

Use with caution in patients with kidney disease. Your doctor may need to adjust your dose.



Liver
