This combination drug works by inhibiting the activity of the HIV-1 reverse transcriptase enzyme, which is essential for the virus to replicate. Lamivudine and zidovudine are nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs) that block the conversion of viral RNA into DNA. Nevirapine is a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI) that binds to a different site on the reverse transcriptase enzyme.
Store at room temperature, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
