Treatment of uncomplicated malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum, the most dangerous type of malaria parasite.

Prevention of malaria in people travelling to areas with high risk of malaria transmission.

This combination therapy targets different stages of the malaria parasite's life cycle. Artesunate works quickly to kill the parasite's mature forms, while sulphadoxine and pyrimethamine work together to prevent the parasite from multiplying and developing further.

The dosage of Artesunate + Sulphadoxine + Pyrimethamine varies depending on the patient's age, weight, and the severity of the malaria infection.

It is usually taken as a single dose, but may be administered in multiple doses, depending on the specific medical advice.

Serious side effects are rare but can include allergic reactions, skin rash, and bone marrow suppression.

Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and headache.

Alcohol Consumption

While Driving or operating Machinery

This medication may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication is not recommended for pregnant women, especially during the first trimester. It may pass into breast milk and should be used with caution in breastfeeding mothers. Consult your doctor before using this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.



Children

This medication is not typically recommended for children under the age of 5, as it may have serious side effects.



Kidney
