Ofloxacin

Ofloxacin works by killing bacteria by interfering with their ability to produce essential proteins for their survival. Metronidazole works by damaging the DNA of bacteria and parasites, preventing them from multiplying and causing further infection.

Store the medication at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

The dosage and duration of treatment will depend on the type and severity of your infection, your overall health, and other factors. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage for you.

Take the medication exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take more or less of it, or take it for a longer or shorter time than instructed.

Take the medication with a full glass of water.

You can take this medication with or without food.

Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

Finish the entire course of medication, even if you start to feel better. Stopping treatment early may allow the infection to return.

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid alcohol while taking this medication. It can increase the risk of side effects, including nausea, vomiting, and headache.



While Driving or operating Machinery

This medication may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. This medication may pass into breast milk and can harm a nursing baby. Consult your doctor about whether it is safe to breastfeed while taking this medication.



Children

This medication is not recommended for children under the age of 18, as it can have serious side effects on developing bones and cartilage. If you have any concerns about your child taking this medication, talk to your doctor.



Kidney

If you have kidney problems, your doctor may need to adjust your dosage.



Liver

If you have liver problems, you may be at increased risk for side effects from this medication. Your doctor may need to monitor your liver function closely.
