Lapezil 5mg Tab (Donepezil) is a cholinesterase inhibitor. It works by increasing the levels of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter important for memory and cognitive function, in the brain. By inhibiting the breakdown of acetylcholine, it helps to improve communication between nerve cells and alleviate some symptoms of Alzheimer's disease.
Store Donepezil tablets at room temperature, between 68°F and 77°F (20°C and 25°C), away from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children. Dispose of expired or unused medication properly.
Dosage is determined by a physician and is usually started at a low dose and gradually increased as tolerated.
Common dosages include 5mg and 10mg once daily, taken orally with or without food.
