Lasmiditan

Is the active ingredient in the medication.

Treatment of acute migraine attacks in adults.

Lamixa 50 Tab (Lasmiditan) is a selective serotonin 5-HT1F receptor agonist. It works by binding to and activating these receptors in the brain, which helps to constrict blood vessels and reduce inflammation associated with migraine attacks.

Store lasmiditan at room temperature, away from heat and moisture. Keep it in its original container, tightly closed.

The recommended starting dose of lasmiditan is 100 mg orally, taken as soon as possible after the onset of a migraine attack.

If symptoms persist, a second dose of 100 mg may be taken after 2 hours.

The maximum daily dose is 200 mg.

Lasmiditan can be taken with or without food.

Dry mouth

Constipation

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol consumption may increase the risk of side effects. It's recommended to avoid alcohol while taking lasmiditan.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

Lasmiditan can cause dizziness and drowsiness. It's important to avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how lasmiditan affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Lasmiditan should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It's essential to discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.



Children

Lasmiditan is not recommended for use in children.



Kidney

Lasmiditan is primarily excreted in the urine. If you have kidney problems, your doctor may need to adjust your dose.



Liver

Lasmiditan is metabolized by the liver. If you have liver problems, your doctor may need to monitor you closely.
