Lasmiditan

Lasmiditan is a prescription medication used to treat acute migraine attacks in adults.

Lamixa 100 Tab (Lasmiditan) is a selective serotonin 1F receptor agonist. It works by binding to serotonin 1F receptors in the brain, which helps to block the release of certain chemicals that cause migraine pain and symptoms.

Store lasmiditan at room temperature, away from heat and moisture. Keep it in the original container, tightly closed.

The usual starting dose of lasmiditan is 100 mg taken orally. Your doctor may adjust your dose based on your response to the medication.

Take lasmiditan as soon as you feel a migraine coming on. It is best to take lasmiditan on an empty stomach.

Serious side effects are possible, including allergic reactions, heart problems, and seizures.

Common side effects include dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, and nausea.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol can increase the risk of side effects from lasmiditan. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medication.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Lasmiditan can cause dizziness and drowsiness. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

It is not known if lasmiditan is safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of taking this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.



Children

Lasmiditan is not approved for use in children.



Kidney

Lasmiditan may be processed by the kidneys. Talk to your doctor if you have kidney problems.



Liver

Lasmiditan may be processed by the liver. Talk to your doctor if you have liver problems.
