Lactolook Syp 100ml (Lactulose) works by drawing water into the colon, softening the stool and increasing its bulk. This makes it easier to pass. In hepatic encephalopathy, it helps to lower blood ammonia levels by trapping ammonia in the gut and promoting its excretion in the stool.
