Lacotide 150mg Tab (Lacosamide) is an anticonvulsant that works by binding to the inactivated state of voltage-gated sodium channels in neurons, thus slowing down the recovery of these channels from inactivation. This leads to a reduction in the repetitive firing of neurons and a decrease in seizure activity.
Store at room temperature (20-25°C). Protect from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.
Dosage should be determined by a healthcare professional and adjusted based on individual patient needs and response to treatment.
The usual starting dose is 50 mg twice daily, which may be gradually increased.
Take the medication as prescribed by your doctor; do not stop or change your dosage without consulting them.
