Latanoprost

A prostaglandin analogue that lowers pressure in the eye by increasing the outflow of fluid.

Timolol Maleate

A beta-blocker that lowers pressure in the eye by reducing the production of fluid.

Lacoma T Eye Drops 2.5ml (Latanoprost + Timolol Maleate) works by lowering the pressure inside the eye. Latanoprost increases the outflow of fluid from the eye, while Timolol Maleate reduces the production of fluid. This combined action helps to maintain a healthy eye pressure and reduce the risk of damage to the optic nerve.

Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat. Do not freeze. Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.

The usual dose is one drop in the affected eye(s) once a day, in the evening.

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule.

Wash your hands thoroughly before applying the drops.

Tilt your head back and pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket.

Squeeze the bottle gently to release one drop into the pocket.

Close your eye for 1-2 minutes to allow the drops to spread.

Press gently on the inner corner of your eye for 1 minute to prevent the drops from draining into your tear duct.

Alcohol Consumption

The effect of alcohol on Latanoprost + Timolol Maleate is not fully understood. It is best to avoid alcohol while using this medication.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

This medication can cause blurred vision. Avoid driving or operating machinery until your vision has cleared.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication may be harmful to a developing fetus. Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of using this medication during pregnancy.



Children

The safety and effectiveness of this medication in children have not been established.



Kidney

This medication is not known to affect the kidneys.



Liver

This medication may be metabolized by the liver. Talk to your doctor if you have any liver problems.
