High blood pressure (hypertension)
To lower the risk of stroke in people with high blood pressure and a thickened left ventricle of the heart.
Amlodipine blocks calcium from entering the muscle cells of the heart and blood vessels. This relaxes the blood vessels, lowering blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide increases urine output, which helps reduce fluid volume in the body and lower blood pressure.
Store at room temperature, away from heat and direct sunlight.
Dosage is determined by your doctor based on your individual needs and medical history.
Usually taken once daily, either with or without food.
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Do not crush or chew the tablet.
Important: Follow your doctor's instructions exactly.
Do not stop taking the medication without talking to your doctor.

Low blood pressure
Increased potassium levels in the blood

Rarely, allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling).
Alcohol may worsen side effects like dizziness and lightheadedness.
This medication may cause dizziness or lightheadedness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.
This medication should not be taken during pregnancy. Talk to your doctor if you are breastfeeding or planning to become pregnant.
Not recommended for use in children.
This medication can affect kidney function. Your doctor will monitor your kidney function during treatment.
This medication may be harmful to people with severe liver disease. Talk to your doctor if you have any liver problems.
