This medication works by combining the actions of its individual ingredients: Ambroxol thins mucus, Guaifenesin helps to loosen mucus, Chlorpheniramine Maleate blocks histamine, and Phenylephrine shrinks blood vessels to reduce congestion.

The usual dose for adults is one or two tablets every 4 to 6 hours as needed.
